An oldie I heard in elementary school Little Johnny has just started kindergarten and doesn't know the alphabet. As things usually happen, the teacher asks Johnny to recite the alphabet. He tells her that he does not know the alphabet, so she tells him to go home and ask his parents to help him learn it. After school, he runs up the driveway and into the kitchen, where his mom is on the phone with a friend. As he runs in, he yells out ""MOM, WHAT'S THE ALPHABET?"" Being the wonderful mother that she is, she hollers back ""SHUT UP IM ON THE PHONE!"" Discouraged, Johnny walks upstairs to ask his older siblings to help. He reaches his brother's room and finds his brother watching Batman. So he begins to ask his question, and right as his brother begins to answer, the theme song begins and the brother blurts out ""na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na BATMAN!"" blares out. Johnny leaves, and heads over to his sisters room and asks her the question. Unbeknownst to him she has in earphones and can't hear him over her music and starts singing along with the song. All he hears is ""that's the way uh huh uh huh I like it uh huh uh huh"" He leaves and hears someone in the bathroom. It's his grandpa, who has just made a mess on himself. Johnny asks his question, but the door blocks the noise from his already hard of hearing grandpa. However, by sheer coincidence, the question times up perfectly with the old man muttering ""in the garbage, in the garbage... There goes my money in the garbage"" straining to hear through the door, Johnny catches the first part of the mutters, and, satisfied with his answers, heads of to sleep. At school the next day, the teacher asks him ""did you do your homework?"" To which he replies ""of course"" She then asks him again to recite the alphabet. ""SHUT UP IM ON THE PHONE!"" She cuts him off, ""What did you just say?"" He repeats himself ""SHUT UP IM ON THE PHONE!"" ""who do you think you are? No child shoul...""""""na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na BATMAN!"" ""Well really, if that's how you are going to act then I am sending you to the office!"" ""that's the way uh huh uh huh I like it uh huh uh huh"" ""Child, where are your brains today?!"" ""in the garbage, in the garbage""
