10 Ben was talking with his group of friends When they were visited by aliens Now Ben, being a mathematician, Asked them, ""What base do you count in?"" ""We count in the base of 10,"" Responded the first alien. Ben's best friend was not a mathematician, And so he asked Ben this question: ""Ben, what base do we count in?"" Ben said ""We use base 10, just like them."" One if those aliens Then asked for help from Ben He said ""see this here button, human?"" ""We need you to push it on the count of 10."" ""But make sure you don't wait til after then,"" ""Or it will make an explosion."" So Ben, being one of Earth's nicer men, Decided to help these aliens. So they started counting up to 10. But they waited too long to push the button, Because after they passed the number 7 They all got blown up to heaven. When they approached the pearly gates, Ben asked ""why were we too late?"" Ben's best friend turned to his mate, And said ""what they call base 10, we call base 8!""
