A young man is sick of living under his parents rules. Every day his dad wakes him up at 7am to help him around the farm. Mom decides what to cook for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dad scolds him if his room isn't kept tidy. Mom chastises him if he doesn't mind his manners. They must attend church every Sunday at 9am, and lights out is at 10pm sharp every day. One day after dinner, his mother tells him to clean the dishes and he snaps. > Mom, Dad, that's it. I'm sick of you controlling me. I'm sick of being told what to do all the time. I'm sick of being scolded for doing everything wrong. I'm sick of being told where to go, what to do, what to wear, and how to act. I cannot live like this anymore, and I'm leaving home! His parents are hurt but understand his desire for independence and simply ask him: > Where do you plan on going? The young man replies: > I'm joining the military!
